UK parks get £11m in lottery funding
The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and the Big Lottery Fund (BIG) have invested £11m to help regenerate four parks across the UK as part of HLF’s Parks for People scheme. more



FIA makes cash pledge
Fred Turok, chair of the Fitness Industry Association, has pledged that the health and fitness industry would double any investment made by the government to improve the nation’s health. Turok said 25 per cent of children currently entering schools are obese and that the epidemic had to be tackled head on. more



£135m funding package for grassroots football
The government has agreed a new three-year funding deal with the Premier League and Football Association, which will see a total of £135m of grants being ploughed into grass roots football. more
